What is design-build, and how is it different from hiring an architect and a contractor?
With design-build, one company handles both the design and the construction. At PEGASUS, our in-house designer draws your plans and budget, and the same team prices and builds the project, so you have one point of contact and your construction price is set before work starts.
What towns does PEGASUS work in?
We are based in Melrose and work mostly in Melrose, Arlington, Winchester, Lexington, Belmont and Wakefield, plus nearby towns such as Medford, Reading, Stoneham, Burlington, Bedford and Malden.
How much does a remodel cost in Melrose and the surrounding towns?
On our 2020–2025 projects, the middle half of kitchens that kept their layout ran $70,000 to $125,000, kitchens opened to the rooms around them ran $130,000 to $225,000 (both before appliances), and additions with a bathroom ran $205,000 to $360,000. Our cost guide has the full list of ranges.
How long does a kitchen or addition take to build?
On our recent projects, construction took about 3 to 5 months for a kitchen, 10 to 15 weeks for a bathroom, 15 to 22 weeks for a kitchen and bath, and 18 to 29 weeks for an addition with a kitchen and bath.
